Q: Who can participate in the Opioid Data Challenge?
A: You may only enter the challenge if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • you are a legal resident of Canada at the time of entry;
  • you are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in the province where you reside; and
  • you are not an employee of MaRS Discovery District, the Public Health Agency of Canada or Statistics Canada, and you are not the immediate family member of any such employee.

Q: Where do I apply?
A: All applications must be submitted via our application page which can be accessed via this link.

Q: Who owns the intellectual property associated with submitted concepts/prototypes/solutions?
A: The innovator (submitter) will retain all intellectual property rights.

Q: Will my submission be visible to other participants?
A: No. All submissions are kept private and no details are shared with other competitors.
